Biography

Karen is a Knowledge Transfer Manager for Health at Innovate UK Business Connect, who works across the whole of the health sector to support businesses and the wider sector to growth through innovation and collaboration. Karen’s particular focus in the team is supporting innovators in the ‘Healthy Ageing and Healthy Living’ arena, and she currently runs the Innovate UK Healthy Ageing Community of Practice, a vibrant, collaborative learning community with over 2,000 members, open to all those working or interested in healthy ageing. Karen came to this role with a wealth of experience in managing University research and industrial partnerships across a wide range of medical and health innovation areas, particularly technologies to facilitate independent living.  Prior to this, Karen spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, managing international clinical trials.
