Biography

Dr Neil Shaw studied Physics & Chemistry at the University of Leeds before obtaining his PhD in Ultra-Low Temperature Physics from Lancaster University.

Neil then spent 20 years working for Unilever R&D, based at the Port Sunlight laboratory, focused principally on developing new hair measurements, technologies and products.

After Unilever, Neil worked first at Lonza then at Gama Healthcare as Head of New Product Development. He joined ghd as Head of Science in March 2023.
