Biography
Bernice Ridley is a Chemistry graduate with many years of experience within Research and Development. Starting out with orthopaedic splinting bandages, she went on to develop own label household products before specialising in the application of acrylic polymers primarily for personal care applications. Bernice now works on the review of existing, and development of new, courses in cosmetic science provided by the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, working with other authors who are expert in their fields, as well as supporting students who are on the SCS courses. Bernice has been active in the Society of Cosmetic Scientists since 1990, taking the Diploma in Cosmetic Science in 1992, being one of the pioneers of the Northern Regional Development Group, presenting at SCS lectures and at Formulate. She is a STEM Ambassador and helps top promote cosmetic science to schools, colleges and universities.
