The 2023 UK SCS Annual Conference took place in Cambridge, on 4th and 5th July 2023.

The theme was Success and Sustainability, the event was well attended, and those who came along enjoyed a diverse programme of fascinating topics, along with lively Panel Debates.

The annual Student Poster competition, which was won by Matthew Smith (Manchester University, UK) on “Commercial Sunscreens Protect Skin Commensal Bacteria from solar simulated radiation”.  All the students entering posters got vouchers from the SCS in recognition of their excellent submissions.
