Key Updates on Regulation
The first session will open with our guest speaker Fuji Kanda from Japan who has been sponsored by the IFSCC international speakers programme. He will set the scene with an overview of functional personal care products and how they have developed over time.
As one of the key functional product types in the personal care, sun care will be the focus of the talk from Marc Pissavini of Coty who will bring us an update on the new ISO In-vitro SPF method.
The session will continue with Francesca Rapolli from the CTPA looking at “the post-Brexit landscape for cosmetics”, understanding how Brexit could impact the industry in terms of tariffs, customs, trade agreements and legislation. We are also happy to welcome Clare Liptrot, Croda to talk about the pending legislation on microplastics which is being driven by environmental concerns.
